Retirement!

Det. Sgt. Robert Adams retired on April 2, 2010 after 30 years with the department.  During his decorated career he served as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Sergeant and, for the last several years, as a Detective specializing in the sensitive crimes of child abuse, child neglect and sexual assault.  During his tenure here he also served on the Emergency Response Team, was the department’s evidence custodian and led the department’s evidence technicians.  He plans on helping out in the family business and looks forward to more fishing time, as well.

Our congratulations go out to Det. Adams on his retirement, along with our sincere thanks for his outstanding commitment and dedication to the department and the city of Chippewa Falls!

 Promotions!

The Chippewa Falls Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of Officer David BeBeau to the rank of Patrol Sergeant!  His promotion was effective January 1, 2010 and he was assigned to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Sgt. Gene Neitge.  Sgt. BeBeau hails from Ashland, WI.  He served two years active duty in the U. S. Army and 6 years with the Wisconsin National Guard. He is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire.  Sgt. BeBeau came to the Chippewa Falls Police Department in January 1996.  In addition to his work as a Patrol Officer he has served the department as a Field Training Officer, Bike Patrol Officer, Emergency Response Team member and, most recently, School Resource Officer.  We congratulate him on this achievement and welcome him to our supervisory team!

The department also proudly announces the promotion of Officer Brian Micolichek to the rank of Detective Sergeant.  Effective April 3, 2010, Det. Sgt. Micolichek was assigned to the Detective Division to assume the position vacated by the retirement of Det. Sgt. Robert Adams.  He is originally from Denmark, WI and is a 12 year veteran of the department.  Det. Sgt. Micolichek, a highly respected evidence technician himself, will take over as the chief evidence custodian of the department and will oversee the investigation of all sensitive crimes and crimes against children.  Brian is a welcomed addition to our investigative staff and we congratulate him on his promotion!
